- Well, I finally got my PPP connection going. Thanks for all the
- suggestions guys (turned out I didn't have a delay at the end of
- my dialscript).
-
- I have been using AWeb for browsing so far, which seems pretty
- fast and reasonably stable. However, I would like to give iBrowse
- a try.
-
- So far I haven't had too much luck.
-
- I have set everything up similarly to AWeb (I have checked
- everything several times), but no matter what I change, I always
- finf iBrowse is very slow loading.
-
- It takes it several seconds to contact the proxy (AWeb does this
- virtually instantaneously), and it takes a very long time to get
- a reply from foreign hosts (tests with AWeb ensures that the pages
- in question are accessible, and load very quickly). Sometimes,
- after a reply, it waits for a minute or so before receiving the
- actual page data.
-
- Also, I have only been able to contact the sites in the hotlist,
- anything else just times out.
-
- Suggestions anyone?
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
- Mario
